1. Information Collected.

We do not sell or trade your personally identifiable information to others.

We may collect personally identifiable information submitted by users when users visit the Site, voluntarily subscribe to our newsletter, and use services, activities, features, or resources made available on the Site.  Users can refuse to supply personally identifiable information to remain anonymous, but this may prevent such users from engaging with certain aspects of the Site.

We may collect non-personally identifiable information about user demographics and interactions with the Site, including, but not limited to, technical information about the type of browser, type of computer, operating system, and Internet service providers.

2. Use of Information.

Tips for Family Trips employs such information to improve and personalize user experiences.  This data helps us understand how users collectively use our services and resources provided on the Site, and how to make our content more valuable to you.

We also use such information to send periodic emails.  If you decide to opt-in to our mailing list, you will receive emails that may include the Site newsletter and information about special promotions.  You may unsubscribe from receiving such emails at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email.

We reserve the right to release your information where we determine that it is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce the Site’s Privacy Policy or Terms of Use, or protect Tips for Family Trips’ or others’ rights, property, or safety.

3. Security

Please review the following security measures, user recommendations, and liability disclaimers:

Tips for Family Trips is committed to ensuring that your information is secure.  To prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, we follow internal protocol for physical and electronic management of user data to safeguard your information.  While we take steps to protect user information, no information shared online can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.  Therefore, Tips for Family Trips make no guarantees regarding the efficacy of our procedures and/or the privacy measures of third-party plugins, vendors, partners, and affiliates.

We recommend that all users take reasonable precautions in making sure your computer software is up to date, that you create unique passwords and update them regularly, and that you maintain anti-virus software or similar preventive measures to ensure your personal data is protected from malware, hackers, and identity thieves.

The Site may contain links to external websites that may be relevant or of interest to our users.  However, we do not have control over those external websites and make no guarantees as to their safety, effectiveness, or content.  We are not responsible for protecting any of the information that you may provide while visiting external websites and those sites are not governed by this Privacy Policy.  Please refer to the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use provided by each external website for information on how they may collect, use, and protect your personal data.

4. Cookies

Cookies are unique files that websites may place on your device to enhance recognition of your device, account, and/or interests.  Cookies may help analyze web traffic by conveying how you use the Site or service (e.g., pages viewed by users, links clicked by users, and similar actions taken on the Site), and personalize and enhance your user experience by allowing ads and web applications to customize according to information collected about your interests.  Cookies do not give us access to your devices or personal information beyond the information that you choose to share with us.

While cookies may significantly enhance your experience on the Site, you may choose to decline cookies.  You should refer to your computer browser’s setting or help manual on how to accept cookies, how to receive notifications of cookies, and how to disable cookies altogether.  Please note that disabling cookies may limit your ability to enjoy the full user experience on the Site.

5. Advertising

Some of our partners, affiliates, and third-party vendors may use cookies, web beacons, or similar technologies to serve you advertisements that are customized to your interests and preferences based on browsing the Site and other websites that you have visited.  Sample information may include non-personal data such as your browser type, operating system, web pages visited, frequency, viewed ads and content, and data on clickstreams.  Tips for Family Trips does not have any control over these third-parties’ actions or services, and such actions are solely governed by those companies’ own Privacy Policies.  Accordingly, Tips for Family Trips disclaims all liability related to any third party’s use of cookies.

6. Third Parties.

The Site may link to third parties who perform services within the Site or serve as affiliates through external sites, including, but not limited to, Amazon and travel-related companies for booking travel, lodging, and related entertainment.  Please refer to the external sites’ Terms of Use and Privacy Policies for information and terms governing your use of their site and services.

The Site may use affiliate links for the online retailer Amazon.com.  Amazon may collect information about users, either through cookies or through information submitted by users, and their Privacy Policy can be found here: https://services.amazon.com/content/Privacy_Policy.htm/ref=asus_privacy_fnav.
