Frequently Asked Questions
Can't I find all this information online?
Yes, you can. In fact, you can find a lot of it on Tips for Family Trips. However, it won't be organized into a ready-to-use, printable format. My goal is to save you hours of planning time.
Why pay for an itinerary?
There is a lot of great free information online. However, most free online San Diego itineraries are either published by a business that wants to sell you another product, or published by a someone who has perhaps visited San Diego only once and is telling you what they did on their trip. Most free itineraries will not be offered in a printable format.
My Basic and In Depth San Diego Itineraries are based on multiple trips to San Diego by multiple families. They are the result of many hours of on-site experience, research and writing to ensure that the itinerary you choose will be worth every penny. With the money-saving tips, I hope it will quickly pay for itself.
How do I know it will work for my family?
I've surveyed many families and travel experts and personally visited San Diego multiple times to ensure that these are truly the top destinations in San Diego for families. For maximum flexibility, you'll also have dozens of alternate/additional activities to choose from. With my money-saving tips, this itinerary can quickly pay for itself. Finally, if you're not satisfied with your itinerary, contact me at [email protected] and I'll do my best to make it right.
What if my vacation is longer or shorter than 7 days?
If your vacation is shorter than 7 days, pick the activities that work best for your family and save the rest for another trip. If your vacation is longer than 7 days (lucky you!), use the list of 25+ alternate activities to fill your additional days.
What if I don't want to do the activities you recommended?
This is why I spent a lot of time compiling a big list of alternate activities. It's four full pages on the In Depth version! Please substitute any of the main activities with alternative activities that will be a better fit for your family.
