Northern Utah is a beautiful area, notable for its mountains, lakes and lovely small towns. Brigham City and Logan are its biggest cities, and Bear Lake is a popular destination for families.
Most of Utah’s population lives along the mountain range known as the Wasatch Front. Salt Lake City is the heart of this area, with Ogden to the north and Provo to the south, and lots of fun family activities in between.
Park City is a world-famous winter destination just 20 minutes from Salt Lake City, and it’s pretty great in the summer too. Heber Valley is just around the corner and between the two there is loads of year-round fun for families.
Find Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks and the rapidly growing cities of St. George and Cedar City in this beautiful part of Utah. I attended college at Southern Utah University and this is one of my favorite parts of the state.
Eastern Utah covers a lot of ground because I’ve included most of the wide open spaces east of Interstate 15 and Park City. This area is wild, diverse and chock full of dinosaur bones. Three of Utah’s national parks – Arches, Canyonlands and Capitol Reef – are here.
