Hello!
Looking for some travel gift ideas for Mother's Day?
I'm a mom and I travel often, so hopefully I can help! I've created a list of travel gift ideas that can make your mom's next trip better or help her bring her travel personality into the home.
I like to give and receive practical gifts that will get a lot of use. I also like affordable and convenient gifts, so half of the items on this list cost less than $50 and everything is available through Amazon Prime.
Here is a list of great Mother's Day travel gifts that I have purchased, received or would wish to receive on Mother's Day.
Wall Map
Maps make great home decor for travelers. I received a large National Geographic map of the world as a gift shortly after my first child was born, and it has hung in the center of our home ever since. I have this National Geographic map and a scratch-off map. Whatever your mom's style, there are lots of great wall maps to choose from. See it on Amazon.com.
Digital Photo Frame
I take hundreds of fun family vacation photos every year, but too often they just sit in the cloud and nobody ever gets to see them! A digital photo frame in Mom's living room, bedroom or office can help her enjoy those photos every day. You can also send photos to this frame from anywhere if you live far away from your mom. I don't have one of these yet, but here is the link to the one I want (hint, hint). See it on Amazon.com.
Kindle
Does your mom love to read? If her Kindle e-reader is more than three years old, it may be time for an upgrade. Personally, I prefer the Kindle Paperwhite because it's easy on the eyes in bright sunlight and the battery can last weeks. Kindle Fire is great for full-color magazines, movies, games, and social media – as well as reading. See it on Amazon.com.

Suitcase
If it's been years since your traveling mom updated her suitcase, then she would probably appreciate a new one. Wheels, zippers and handles wear out, and it's nice to have the latest features. I bought a TravelPro Maxlite Lightweight Expandable carry-on last year, and it got me to Europe and back, plus a lot of other places. I especially love the 4-wheel spinner feature. Rolling this suitcase through the airport is nearly effortless. See it on Amazon.com.

Travel Purse
I bought a TravelPro travel purse before our trip to Europe last summer and I've found it so convenient that now it's my everyday purse. I wanted a small cross-body purse that would organize the essentials and deter thieves, but wasn't big enough to collect a lot of heavy junk. TravelPro has dozens of sizes, styles and colors to choose from. It's only $30so you can afford to fill it with other fun surprises! See it on Amazon.com.
eBags
This is a good option if your mom appreciates practical gifts. eBags are suitcase organizers and we never leave home without them. After many trips and machine washings, mine still look like new. I bought four of the 3 pc Set for my family, and use the large and small sizes most often. Get them in your mom's favorite color! See it on Amazon.com.

Water Bottle
A good insulated water bottle can be surprisingly pricey, but worth every penny. I left our EcoVessel Boulder in a hot car for 5+ hours, and the ice cubes were still frozen when we returned. This bottle has a wide mouth for filling, a small opening for drinking, and a strainer to keep ice, fruit or tea bags inside. I like this water bottle so much that I gave one to my Dad for Christmas and he uses it every day. See it on Amazon.com.
Portable Charger
If your mom-on-the-go does not have one or two portable chargers, this inexpensive gift will change her life. Travelers need their phones to last all day because we'll be lost without a map, camera, phone, e-reader, translator… A portable charger will allow Mom to re-charge her phone or other devices anywhere, anytime, without an outlet. See it on Amazon.com.
Conclusion
The best gift for Mom is a thoughtful gift that she will use and enjoy. I hope that this list of Mother's Day travel gift ideas has given you a few ideas for your mom on her special day.
Happy travels!
