Why We Donate

Did you know?

Tips for Family Trips donates 10% of its affiliate sales commissions to charity. So many people are in need throughout the world, I wanted to do something to help.

Every time you make a purchase through links in Tips for Family Trips’ posts, emails or social media, I donate a portion of my sales commission to the International Rescue Committee. You pay nothing extra, but it helps people in need. It’s exciting to see how quickly small amounts add up!

With the help of readers and followers, Tips for Family Trips has donated $1080 to the International Rescue Committee since May 2016. The most recent donation was in August 2017. These donations help house refugees, feed people in famine-stricken areas, send children to school, and provide immunizations.

The International Rescue Committee is the charity that Tips for Family Trips’ readers have chosen because there are more refugees in desperate need today than at any time since World War II. I like the IRC because of their strong reputation and commitment to keeping administrative costs low while consistently improving services around the world. Ninety-three percent of every donation goes directly to people in need.
